I hate Sex and the City. I've never found the idea of watching four single women nearly twice my age chase men around NYC.  That being said, I've only watched one episode, and that was required for a Women's Lit class I was taking (a story for another time).  Still, I despise it mainly because it is the benchmark of the "chick" genre that is so prevalent in tv, film, and literature, a separation of genders that teaches women how the "modern woman" behaves.  Granted, the show was famous for its feminist views and the shocking reveal that women desire sex, but I just find it taxing and boring.  It reminds of my mother, who never fails to sneak
